Posted 14 hours ago | ref: 277312Protocol are working with a leading FE College based in the West London area in their search for a Section Manager – Creative Arts – Art, Design & Media on a fixed term basis covering Maternity until 19th May 2025.It is a very well-established College graded as “Good” by Ofsted. The College’s students are at the heart of what they do, and their priority is to prepare all their learners for the future. The excellent staff and facilities ensure that they provide a well-rounded learning experience to students to help them reach their full potential.   • To liaise with internal and external teams/organisations/parties, as directed by the Head of School, to ensure the effective and efficient recruitment and guidance of students.
  • To ensure the implementation of the College’s Tutorial strategies, including the effective use of Attendance Co-ordinators and named tutors.
  • To teach on a range of programmes according to your specialism (see above for courses currently offered in the section; courses are subject to change)
  • To ensure the implementation of the College’s target setting procedures, including the use of value added measures.
  • To assist the Head of School in inducting, supporting and developing staff, especially the support and management of agency staff.
The person & qualifications
  • Degree/appropriate qualification in subject area
  • Level 5 or above teaching qualification recognised by the FE sector (e.g. DET, PGCE or equivalent)**
  • At least 3 years’ recent successful teaching experience in the subject area to learners aged 16-18
  • Industry experience or experience as practitioner in field of Media/Art and Design
