Prospero Teaching is working with a well-resourced primary school in Saltley that is seeking a dedicated SEND Teacher to lead teaching and learning in their Resource Base, supporting children with complex needs, including autism (ASD), non-verbal communication, and associated learning difficulties.About the Role:
· Lead a small class within the school’s dedicated Resource Base
· Plan and deliver personalised, engaging lessons tailored to individual EHCPs
· Support children with a range of SEND, including ASD, speech and language difficulties, and sensory needs
· Use visual supports, communication aids, and adaptive tools to enhance learning
· Work closely with support staff, therapists, and the SENCO to provide a consistent, high-quality educational experienceThe Ideal Candidate Will Have:
· Proven experience teaching pupils with SEND, ideally in a specialist provision or base setting
· Strong knowledge of strategies to support non-verbal and autistic learners
· A nurturing, creative, and adaptable approach to teaching
· Excellent communication and teamwork skillsEssential Requirements:
· Right to Work in the UK
· Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent UK teaching qualification (desirable)
· A valid Enhanced Child Barred List DBS on the Update Service (or willing to obtain one)
· Two recent, child-related professional references (covering the last two years)To Apply:
