PQ Patent Attorney – LondonAn exciting opportunity has arisen for a part-qualified or recently qualified Patent Attorney with a background in Mechanical Engineering to join a leading intellectual property firm.This role is ideal for someone with 1–3 years’ experience in the industry who is looking to take the next step in their career. The firm offers high-quality work, exceptional training and mentoring and a supportive, collaborative working environment. Exposure to electronics-related work would be beneficial but is not essential.The role:
  • Work with a broad client base across sectors including engineering, consumer products, energy and electronics
  • Draft and prosecute UK and European patent applications
  • Provide strategic IP advice to clients at all stages of the innovation lifecycle
  • Get involved in opposition and appeal work, as well as due diligence and freedom-to-operate projects
  • Benefit from close mentoring and clear opportunities for career progression
Requirements:
  • 1–3 years’ experience working in the patent profession
  • Technical background in Mechanical Engineering (some Electronics exposure advantageous)
  • Strong communication skills and commercial awareness
  • Committed to continued professional development and qualification
