Our client is one of the world's largest logistics platforms and we're recruiting for an Ocean Freight Forwarder to join their Exports team in Manchester.What We Offer:

As an Ocean Freight Forwarder, you will play a crucial role in managing international shipping processes from purchase order issuance to cargo delivery. Your tasks will include:
  • Understanding and applying all necessary processes, documentation, and terminology involved in ocean exports and Customs.
  • Coordinating shipments to meet customer Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), including booking approvals, pre-alerts, governmental filings, and invoicing.
  • Collaborating with our international team and third-party agents to ensure efficiency, exceptional customer service, and creative problem-solving.
  • Building strong relationships with customers, providing timely responses, and following up on issue resolution.
  • Participating in customer business reviews and providing reporting and documentation support to both internal and external customers.
What We're Looking For:
  • Solid experience in Global Forwarding, specifically focused on ocean exports and Customs.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is essential.
  • A proven track record of strong customer service, with a client-focused mindset.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Critical-thinking skills and flexibility to adapt to ever-changing tasks and customer needs.
