- The analysis of experimental data acquired from both direct and indirect measurements
- Dissemination of results at conferences and through publication in peer-reviewed journals
- Participation in setting up and performing experiments at a number of international accelerator facilities
- Participation in in-house detector testing and characterisation
- A PhD in experimental nuclear physics (or who is nearing completion of their PhD)
- A proven track record of contributions in nuclear physics including the preparation of manuscripts for publication and conference contributions
- Experience with data analysis using the ROOT analysis package would be an advantage
- Experience performing and analysing experiments with gamma-ray and charged-particle spectroscopy would be an advantage. Particularly knowledge of Coulomb excitation and/ or gamma-ray spectroscopy of exotic nuclei
