Release Date: Friday 22 August 2025An exciting opportunity has arisen in our small, friendly client-side estates team for a Buildings Clerk of Works to manage the workmanship, quality, environmental standards and safety of construction activities for a range of building projects, whether new build or refurbishment on our city centre campus. The role holder will play a crucial role in the delivery of high-quality, sustainable construction and refurbishment projects, many funded by the Salix Grant.As Clerk of Works, you’ll be the on-site eyes and ears of our Project Managers, ensuring that all works meet our standards of safety, quality, compliance, and environmental responsibility. You will work across multiple projects, supervising on-site activities, identifying issues, and ensuring smooth handovers from contractor to university operations. You will need substantial previous experience as a Clerk of Works in buildings, including appropriate professional membership.
