- Supporting the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons across the curriculum
- Working 1:1 or with small groups of pupils to boost learning and confidence
- Helping to create a positive, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment
- Supporting children with reading, writing, and numeracy skills
- Assisting with classroom organisation and preparation
- Encouraging children’s social, emotional, and academic development
- Friendly and inclusive primary schools across Newport
- A strong focus on pupil wellbeing and achievement
- Opportunities to work in different year groups (Foundation Phase – Key Stage 2)
- Supportive staff teams with a real sense of community
- No formal teaching qualifications needed
- Experience working with children (in school or other settings) is highly desirable
- Friendly, enthusiastic, and reliable individuals
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Genuine passion for helping children learn and grow
- Availability during school hours (8:30 AM – 3:30 PM) in Newport

- Full training provided (safeguarding, classroom support, etc.)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
