A well-established and respected law firm is seeking a qualified Family Law Solicitor or Legal Executive (1-3 years PQE) to join its dedicated Family Department. This role offers the chance to work alongside experienced colleagues on a diverse and rewarding caseload, while developing expertise and building strong client relationships.The Role
The successful candidate will be confident, organised, and proactive, with a genuine interest in family and matrimonial law. You will handle a variety of matters, including but not limited to:Divorce and separationFinancial proceedings arising from divorce and separationPrivate law children mattersPre- and post-marital agreementsCohabitation and separation agreementsYou will also work closely with the firms marketing team to support business development, enhance the departments profile, and strengthen client relationships.Key ResponsibilitiesDeliver high-quality legal services to existing clientsWork collaboratively with partners and colleagues to generate new business opportunitiesContribute to the growth and development of the Family DepartmentAchieve fee income targets in line with agreed objectivesStay informed on changes in relevant legislation and practiceMaintain accurate financial control, including billing and collection of monies on accountEnsure all work complies with the firms quality and risk management proceduresPerson SpecificationEssentialQualified Solicitor or Legal ExecutiveExperience in a range of family law matters, including divorce, private law children cases, and financial proceedingsStrong communication skills, both written and verbalAbility to work confidently and develop towards managing your own caseloadOrganised and able to meet deadlines under pressureIT literate, with experience in case management systemsUnderstanding of Money Laundering Regulations and Solicitors Account RulesDesirableExperience in marketing and business development within a legal contextPresentation or public speaking skillsExperience preparing legal documents independentlyAttributesProactive and positive approach to workHigh level of integrity, empathy, and professionalismCommitment to delivering excellent client careWillingness to continue learning and developing expertise in all aspects of family lawBenefits
