Dispensing Manager
Full Time (Mainly Mon–Fri; occasional weekends as needed)
Location: Busy community practice (NHS-focused clientele)

What success looks like
  • Lead from the front. You’re hands-on and ready to inspire by example. Just the right mix of management and patient care.
  • Be the commercial captain. Spot every sales opportunity without coming off like a used-car salesman. Maximise conversion rates without compromising standards.
  • Get NHS sharp. Familiarity with NHS workings—reimbursements, protocols, the lot.
  • Run the show. From stock and rotas to merchandising and performance metrics—this practice runs like clockwork under your watch.
  • Build winning teams. You’ll mentor, train, and motivate. You know that engaged staff equals happy patients—and that means results.
  • Clinical conscience. GOC-registered dispensing optician (FBDO would be a plus) who balances empathy with efficiency.
What we’re after
  • A registered Dispensing Optician (GOC) with management smarts—proven or ready-to-learn.
  • You’re commercially savvy yet clinically sound. You know the difference between a lens margin and a patient’s trust.
  • Top-notch communicator, administratively agile, and able to keep everything above board (clinical records, compliance, the lot).
