Our renowned and respected consultancy client with extensive and long-term project work is looking for a Principal Nuclear Safety Engineer to join their thriving team. Within this role you'll spearhead safety assurance across the entire lifecycle of major defence-related programmes in the UK. From design and construction to operation and decommissioning, your expertise will shape the future of nuclear facilities.The role includes the following duties,
Lead hazard identification studies and qualitative/quantitative hazard assessments.
Provide technical leadership in safety assessments and report production.
Mentor team members, contribute to bids, and drive safety initiatives.
To be suitable for the role you should be qualified to degree level in physics, mechanical engineering, or related field, or possess equivalent experience. Extensive experience in safety case production and hazard analysis within the nuclear and defence industry is highly valued.Overview
