Are you passionate about supporting children to reach their potential? A welcoming primary school in Chelmsford is looking for LSAs, TAs, Learning Mentors, Support Workers, or Healthcare Assistants to join their SEN provision team.You don’t need previous school experience – we value support workers, youth workers, healthcare assistants, or anyone with personal experience supporting children or young adults. Your dedication, patience, and positive approach are what matter most.You’ll work alongside the SENCo and teaching staff to provide practical, emotional, and educational support for children with a variety of additional needs. Every day is different, and no two children are the same, making this role both rewarding and dynamic.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide 1:1 or small group support for children with SEN.Assist with learning activities, ensuring all pupils can access the curriculum.Support children with social, emotional, and behavioural development.Encourage confidence, independence, and positive relationships.Collaborate with teaching staff and other professionals to implement individual support plans.Help maintain a safe, structured, and inclusive environment.What We’re Looking ForPrevious experience in a support role is beneficial, but school experience is not required.Background as a support worker, youth worker, healthcare assistant, or similar is welcomed.Patient, flexible, and positive approach.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Genuine passion for helping children with additional needs.Why Work with GSL Education?When you join through GSL, you’re not just taking a role – you’re joining a network of trusted schools and supportive staff.
