This is a fantastic opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, or experienced support staff to gain valuable classroom experience while making a positive difference in students’ education.Responsibilities as a Cover Supervisor:
  • Supervise classes during the absence of the regular teacher, ensuring that students remain on task.
  • Deliver pre-prepared work set by the teacher.
  • Support pupils in maintaining focus and managing classroom behaviour effectively.
  • Report any issues or progress to the appropriate teaching staff.
  • Create a calm and respectful environment conducive to learning.
Requirements for Cover Supervisor:
  • Experience working with young people, ideally within an educational setting.
  • Strong communication, organisational, and behaviour management skills.
  • A confident and professional approach to classroom supervision.
  • A valid, enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
  • A full CV covering the last 10 years, with explanations for any gaps in employment.
