- As a Care Assistant your role will be to help support children with complex physical and medical needs and associated communication and learning needs.
- You need to be a pro-active, enthusiastic, energetic and reliable care assistant to join the team.
- This position would be to work with children across the primary and secondary age range from ages 3-19.
- You will support pupils with their day-to-day personal care needs and work alongside other professional staff to further pupils’ personal independence and skills.
- A Specialist all through school based in Evesham for children and young people aged from 3-19 with moderate to complex needs with the aim of providing high quality education.
- Children have a range of diagnoses and special needs, including Autism, Physical Disabilities, Moderate Learning Difficulties, Severe Learning Difficulties and Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties.
- The schools’ key goals are to foster a well-rounded, supportive educational environment, providing opportunities for students to express their ideas creatively and constructively to help build their confidence.
- Teaching life skills, promoting empathy, social responsibility, and community involvement which will help students develop into caring, responsible citizens who contribute positively to society.
- Provide practical assistance in relation to other identified physical needs e.g. mealtimes, organisation of learning equipment.
- Recording and reporting on care needs.
- Assisting pupils in implementing their own personal care programmes during the school day, specifically in relation to practical support for; personal hygiene; toileting and continence training; and eating and drinking.
- Have experience in a similar role.
- Have, or be willing to obtain an enhanced DBS on the update service.
- Excellent daily rates paid using the PAYE system. (Daily rate is subject to your scale rate, experience in role and qualifications which will be discussed at the point of registration.)
