The Garment Technologist ensures that underwear products meet the highest standards of fit, comfort, durability, and safety. Acting as the bridge between design, product development, and manufacturing, the Garment Technologist evaluates materials, anticipates risks, conducts fit sessions on diverse body types, and ensures products are consistent, functional, and consumer-focused. Above all, the quality of the product and the consumer experience are the top priorities.Your Responsibilities
  • Working closely with the Senior Designer to align design intent with technical feasibility
  • Leading and coordinating fit sessions across multiple body types and sizes, ensuring inclusivity and comfort
  • Conducting wear tests where necessary, gathering feedback on durability, comfort, and product performance
  • Researching, testing, and recommending fabrics, elastics, trims, and functional materials suitable for underwear and period underwear
  • Evaluating stretch, recovery, absorbency, shrinkage, wash performance, and breathability
  • Flagging risks early - e.g., fabric distortion, transparency, skin sensitivity, or seam durability issues
  • Maintaining a material library and performance data to guide future collections
  • Reviewing pre-production and production samples for technical quality and fit
  • Supporting troubleshooting during bulk production (e.g., sewing techniques, bonding, elastic application)
Your Profile
  • 3+ years of experience as a Garment Technologist in underwear, bras, swimwear or period products
  • Skilled at translating design intent into technically feasible garments, balancing style, comfort, and performance
  • Expertise in testing and evaluating fabrics, elastics, trims, and functional materials
  • Proactivity in identifying potential risks with the ability to recommend solutions
  • Well-organized, maintaining material libraries and performance data to guide current and future collections
  • Collaborative mindset, working closely with design, product development, and suppliers to ensure products meet both aesthetic and functional standards
  • Fluency in English (German or Czech would be a plus)
