We have an exciting opportunity for a talented Maths Teacher to join a highly ambitious and successful secondary school located in Folkestone. The selected Maths Teacher will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, fostering a love for mathematics and driving excellent student outcomes.The school is a modern, forward-thinking academy known for its high expectations, strong discipline, and relentless focus on academic achievement. The successful Maths Teacher will be joining a collaborative and dynamic department committed to excellence.As a Maths Teacher, you will be expected to:
  • Plan and deliver outstanding and innovative Maths lessons to pupils across Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Inspire a love of learning and foster intellectual curiosity in the subject of mathematics.
  • Utilise assessment data to monitor progress and provide targeted support to ensure all pupils achieve their potential.
  • Contribute to the development of the Maths curriculum and departmental resources.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, parents' evenings, and whole-school training events.
In order to be considered for this Maths Teacher role, the candidate must:
  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a specialism in Mathematics.
  • Have a proven track record of raising attainment and delivering high-quality lessons.
  • Have the right to work in the UK.
  • Meet GSL’s safer recruitment background checks.
  • Have a Child Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one.
  • Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
