£85-£90 Per Day (salary is depending on experience and/or qualifications)Starting: ASAPABC Teachers are seeking passionate individuals to support children and young adults with diverse learning needs, including Autism Spectrum Conditions (ASC) and Complex Needs, as a Learning Support Assistant at Baginton Fields School.The broad-spectrum school has students with complex care needs who make up a specialized sector within the educational landscape, whereby the school needs to be catering to students with often profound and multifaceted needs. The school serves individuals age 11+ who require extensive support due to medical complexities, cognitive impairments, or physical disabilities. Unlike traditional schools, Baginton Fields are equipped with expertise and resources to support a wide range of conditions and learning styles. They offer a holistic approach, integrating academic instruction with therapeutic interventions, medical care, and life skills training. Complex care schools provide a nurturing and inclusive environment where students can learn, grow, and achieve their full potential, supported by dedicated educators, therapists, and staff members who are committed to their success.Your Role:
- Collaborate with classroom teachers to create an inclusive learning environment.
- Provide personalized support to students, adapting lessons to meet their needs.
- Employ positive behaviour strategies to help students overcome challenges and thrive.
- Foster both academic progress and social development.
- Educates 126 students aged 11-19 with a focus on individual needs.
- Offers state-of-the-art facilities: sensory rooms, therapy suites, outdoor learning spaces, and a mental health and well-being hub.
- Emphasizes a nurturing, student-centred approach with a diverse curriculum.
- A minimum of 1 years' experience in a Special Educational Needs (SEN) setting or equivalent personal experience supporting individuals with learning needs.
- A valid DBS on the update service, or a willingness to complete a DBS check.
- A commitment to supporting and caring for young people with physical and learning challenges.
- The ability to work proactively and collaboratively in a classroom environment.
- Excellent daily rates paid using the PAYE system. (Daily rate is subject to your scale rate, experience in role and qualifications which will be discussed at the point of registration.)
