Day Rate: Competitive, DOEAbout the RoleWe're supporting a high-growth, internationally expanding business as they prepare for a US stock market listing. To help them navigate this critical phase, we're looking for a commercially sharp Interim Financial Controller with US listing experience to bolster their finance function and ensure IPO-readiness from both a technical and operational standpoint.Key ResponsibilitiesAct as a key finance lead in the IPO workstream, supporting CFO and external advisors through the listing processEnsure compliance with US GAAP, SEC reporting requirements, and SOX readinessLead technical accounting reviews and help prepare required financial statements, disclosures, and audit documentationStrengthen internal controls and improve financial reporting processes to meet US public company standardsPartner with cross-functional teams (legal, tax, IR, etc.) to align financial operations with listing requirementsSupport the build-out of a scalable finance function for life as a public companyManage and coordinate the external audit process, including PCAOB audit standardsProvide ad hoc strategic financial input to the executive team and boardWhat We're Looking ForProven experience supporting a company through a US IPO or direct listingDeep knowledge of US GAAP, SEC filings, and SOX complianceACA/CPA or equivalent qualification with a strong technical accounting backgroundExperience working with US advisors, auditors, and legal counselComfortable in fast-paced, ambiguous environments with lots of moving partsAble to operate hands-on when needed, but also step up to board-level conversationsNice to HaveExperience in high-growth tech, life sciences, or clean energy sectorsBig 4 background and/or prior public company experienceFamiliarity with dual reporting (e.g., IFRS and US GAAP)Robert Half Ltd acts as an employment business for temporary positions and an employment agency for permanent positions.
