We are looking for a healthcare assistant or a trainee/ trained nursing associate to join our friendly and supportive team of GPs, Nurse Practitioners, Practice Nurses, Healthcare Assistants and non-clinical team members at Wragby Surgery. The surgery is purpose-built with large consulting rooms serves the town of Wragby and the surrounding villages. The practice has a number of patients who are housebound or live in care homes and the post holder may be required to visit these patients in the community.The successful candidate will support us to maintain a high professional standard of care to our patients as well as to provide assistance to the GPs and other members of the primary healthcare team. We recognise that Healthcare Assistants have varying levels of experience and we will provide the necessary training and support to further develop your skills. It is essential that this role holder works within their own level of competency and to expand their role in accordance with practice requirements and own scope of practice.Main duties of the jobDuties and Responsibilitieswill depend on the experience/ qualification of the candidate but the purpose of the role is to work as a member of the general practice team to facilitate clinical care in a holistic and proactive manner to patients including health promotion (BP checks, height, weight, BMI, urinalysis and smoking status), routine nursing tasks (venepuncture, recording ECG, chaperoning and assisting patients and dressings and wound care) and monitor/ manage stock and equipment.About usWe have a friendly and supportive team of GPs, Nurse practitioners, Practice Nurses, Healthcare Assistants and non-clinical team members.
