- BTEC/NVQ3 Pharmaceutical Sciences or CGLI/Apothecaries Hall pre 1985 or equivalent.
- Accredited Checking Technician Qualification.
- Registration with GPhC
- Medicines Management qualification (to degree level or equivalent).
- Patient counselling qualification.
- Significant post qualification experience.
- Experience in hospital pharmacy, multidisciplinary team working, research, clinical trials or audit, pharmacy standard operating procedure development.
- Mental health speciality
- Project/change management role
- Management of resources
- Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, listening)
- Experience of multi disciplinary team working
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with other staff and service users
- Effective project management
- Evidence of specialist knowledge relating to technical pharmacy issues and procedures
- Knowledge of medicines management procedures eg PODs, self-administration
- Up to date knowledge of NHS and other relevant policies.
- Involvement in postgraduate training
- Specialist knowledge of the dispensing Clozapine
- Approach that is suitable to mental health/learning disabilities
- Sets high standards and strives to acheive
- Pro-active and displays initiative
