  • Monitor pupil's progress and keep records on their development of the English curriculum, to ensure they achieve their target grade.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and parents to ensure the overall well-being of students.
  • Engage in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practices and stay updated on educational trends.

  • QTS (Qualified teaching status) is essential.
  • Relevant qualifications (PGCE or similar).
  • An up to date enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check or the willingness to obtain one.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK is essential.
  • Experience teaching English in the UK is necessary.
  • Exceptional subject knowledge and a deep passion for English literature and language.
  • Current safeguarding and child protection knowledge.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
  • High expectations of pupil's achievements, attainment and behaviour.
