Your portfolio will consist of circa 8 clients, which will allow you to really 'get under the skin' of these businesses and build some terrific relationships. However, because of their unrivalled development programme, they have had huge success with training candidates from a commercial insurance background, who have demonstrated a real thirst for learning.You'll be heavily involved in renewals, as well as servicing the ongoing requirements of your clientele. This is a business where Account Handlers regularly interact with their customers, and so you'll have the opportunity to accompany Account Directors on client visits, which makes the job so much more interesting and rewarding.It's essential that you have previous experience within commercial / corporate insurance broking, and that you have dealt with some reasonable-sized commercial risks, as opposed to micro-SME cases. As a minimum, you must be au fait with Property and Liability / Commercial Combined risks.
