The RoleAs a Personal Care Assistant, you’ll be part of our client’s dedicated support team, providing essential care in their home. You’ll be employed by HomeCareDirect but will focus solely on supporting this client.This vacancy is for 40.5 hours per week and will include working days and sleep in nights. Shifts will be allocated to meet the needs of the client and will be on a rota basis. The hours of work will be between 11:30am to 9pm and 11:30am – 9am the following day, which will include the sleep in.About the Client & Your ResponsibilitiesOur client is an active man in his 30’s who sustained a severe traumatic brain injury when he was a teenager. He has made excellent progress with his recovery and has full capacity. Whilst he does tasks around his home independently, he requires some support in his daily activities such as shopping, cooking, organisation and accessing the community. There is no personal care involved or any moving and handling.Lunch and dinner are provided while on shift and you will prepare meals with our client and eat together. Our client is very fond of cooking and eating good quality food so a shared interest in this would be beneficial. You will accompany/support our client to social outings including gigs and restaurants which are paid for.
