- Requirements gathering: Understand current finance processes, identify pain points, and document functional requirements for system enhancements or new features.
- System analysis: Evaluate existing applications / planning models, analyse data flows, and identify potential areas for optimization.
- Solution design: Collaborate with stakeholders to design system solutions that align with business needs, including process mapping, workflow design, and data integration.
- Lead weekly scrum meetings with the relevant stakeholders.
- Collaborate with business users to test and refine models for functionality and usability and with IT functions to ensure compliance with change, resilience & security controls.
- Design and build robust Anaplan models based on business processes and requirements.
- Create calculations, formulas, and data relationships within Anaplan.
- Implement data integrations from various sources and ensure data accuracy and integrity.
- Design user-friendly dashboards and reports to visualise key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Create custom input forms and data entry screens for user interaction including use of the Anaplan Excel add-in
- Identify and troubleshoot issues within Anaplan models.
- Perform regular model updates and maintenance to reflect changing business needs.
- Provide technical support to users on Anaplan functionality and best practice.
- Manage user access levels and security configurations within Anaplan.
- Collaborate with stakeholders in order to demonstrate a core understanding of current FP&A business processes & the Anaplan models that support them.
- Maintain the integrity and functionality of existing Anaplan models & administrate the application.
- Translate new business requirements into “user stories” ready for development.
- Develop new functionality within Anaplan.
- Experience in designing and building Anaplan models including calculations, data relationships & data integrations.
- Experience in designing dashboards and reports.
- Experience in managing user access and security configurations.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting Anaplan models.
- Ability to provide technical support on Anaplan functionality.
- Experience in performing & testing regular model updates.
- Strong understanding of business processes (planning/reporting) and financial concepts.
- Strong business analysis skills, able to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Able to work in tight deadlines during busiest times of the year.
- Experience working within the insurance industry
- Experience working within finance
- SQL Programming knowledge
- Accountancy qualifications (ACCA / ACMA) - Qualified / part-qualified
- Experience of Agile / Kanban & Azure Dev Ops
