OB ACCOUNTABILITIES
Reporting to the Fleet Performance Manager, the post holder will ensure availability, quality and safety standards are achieved through active and robust management of the Fleet Maintainer.The post holder should be available as required to maintain and populate any such information gathering systems as required by a manager within the Fleet TeamThe post holder is responsible for ensuring that detailed work orders (utilising SRMS) are raised by SRSUK MCRC, for all defects. These shall clearly describe the fault, the mitigations attempted and the outcome. Also, reviewing raised work orders, assessing the level of detail and background information. This should include the full traceability of the fault from initial recording to the satisfactory close out of the defect. Any such work orders that remain open should be notified to the MCRC BEFORE unit is handed over for service.The post holder will attend the twice nightly SRS UK chaired production meetings ensuring SRS UK are clear on the requirements of the operational day and that ALL units requiring a concession are duly authorised and recorded.Maintain a Duty Fleet Manager Log and Diary to ensure that accurate records are recorded back to the Fleet team and a handover brief is diarised for their relief.The post holder should fully converse themselves with the previous days Control Log and action any issues as required.Facilitating the appropriate communications with SRSUK to ensure that the suitable plans are built and executed to allow units experiencing faults or defects to be rotated out of service and moved to a location where they can be maintained. This includes escalating through the TSDM and the wider fleet team, as necessary.Ensure that the DOTE is consulted and discharged in line with industry standards for the recovery of defective units in service. Also monitoring the offer of defective units from a maintenance facility does not conflict with the DOTE instructions.
Ensure that the DST is used as best practice for the recovery of defective units in service by monitoring MCRC behaviours and actions.The post holder will ensure a robust and accurate process/register of identified faults and faulty but used units is always maintained and accurately reflects a true picture of the fleet.The post holder will ensure the Class 777 availability spreadsheet is populated each morning as required.The post holder will ensure the EnergyX system is updated to reflect the Fleet locations as required to satisfy the Network Rail billing status and should include details of units switched out as appropriate.The post holder should consult with the MCRC in coordinating any further advice or support needed from third parties in relation to a defect.The post holder is responsible for monitoring SRMS and RDS to ensure that faults are reported accurately to the business and acted upon accordingly.The post holder is responsible for ensuring any potential safety related fleet incidents including the management of Fleet Safety advice relating to RM/RT8250 are recorded and acted upon by both the MEC and the Fleet Maintainer.
