
Sr Production Artist

- Develop accurate, high-quality print artwork and repro files for FMCG packaging.
- Perform advanced colour correction, image retouching, and file repro in Photoshop and Illustrator.
- Adapt and optimise artwork for different print processes (e.g., flexo, gravure, litho, digital) and substrates (e.g., film, foil, board, label stock).
- Apply technical knowledge of trapping, overprint, line weights, and ink limits to ensure print consistency.
- Collaborate with printers, production teams, and clients to resolve technical challenges.
- Creative graphical adaptation of artwork in line with brand guidelines and regulatory requirements.
- Interpret and implement brand guidelines, regulatory requirements, and packaging specifications.
- Support colour proofing, pre-press checks, and press approvals when required.
- Maintain project tracking and ensure all deliverables meet deadlines and quality standards.
- Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Arts, Design, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 6+ years of pre-press / reprographics experience in packaging, ideally FMCG.
- Advanced Photoshop skills with proven experience in colour development and complex retouching.
- Strong knowledge of print processes (flexo, gravure, litho, digital) and repro for multiple substrates.
- Experience with trapping, overprint settings, separations, varnishes, and special finishes.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat); knowledge of Esko ArtPro+ or similar a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail, technical accuracy, and consistency.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across design, production, and client teams.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Flexibility to work occasional overtime when deadlines require.
- Knowledge of colour management tools, proofing, and press-side processes preferred.
