A highly regarded regional law firm is seeking an experienced Private Client Lawyer to join its busy and well-established team. This role offers the opportunity to manage a diverse caseload of private client matters while contributing to the departments growth and the firms continued reputation for excellence.The Role
The successful candidate will be confident, proactive, and well-organised, with proven expertise in a broad range of private client work, including:Drafting Wills, including those incorporating trusts for complex family arrangementsInheritance Tax and Capital Gains Tax planningPreparing and registering Powers of Attorney, EPAs and LPAsCourt of Protection mattersAdministration of taxable and non-taxable estatesAdvising on and identifying trust administration requirementsYou will also contribute to departmental marketing initiatives, supporting the firms profile within the community and building strong client relationships.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide an ongoing, high-quality service to existing clientsCollaborate with partners and fee earners to develop new businessContribute to departmental growth and client developmentMeet agreed fee income targetsKeep up to date with relevant legislation and best practiceMaintain strong financial control, including billing and cash flow managementCarry out fee-earning work in accordance with quality and risk management proceduresPerson SpecificationEssentialQualified Solicitor or Legal ExecutiveSignificant experience in private client law, including Wills, Powers of Attorney, estate administration, tax planning, and trustsStrong organisational and caseload management skillsExcellent understanding of Money Laundering Regulations and Solicitors Account RulesAbility to handle sensitive matters and clients with mental capacity issuesIT literate, including experience with case management systemsExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalDesirableSTEP qualification or willingness to work towards itExperience with agricultural estates and/or high-net-worth clientsSupervisory experienceMarketing, business development, and public speaking skillsExisting client followingAttributesProfessional, proactive, and positive approachHigh level of integrity, empathy, and client careResilient and able to work well under pressureFull driving licence and access to a car for inter-office travel and client meetingsBenefits
