A supportive and inclusive school in Horley is seeking a compassionate and skilled SEN TA to provide vital support to children with a variety of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). This is an excellent opportunity to join a dedicated team and make a positive difference while gaining valuable experience in a long-term position.Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide consistent one-to-one and small group support for pupils with SEN, including autism (ASD), ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and SEMH (social, emotional, and mental health) needs.
  • Collaborate with class teachers and the SENCo to implement personalised learning plans.
  • Help maintain a calm, inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning.
  • Adapt resources and activities to meet individual needs and promote engagement.
  • Support pupils’ personal, social, and emotional development in line with their academic progress.
What We Are Looking For:
  • Minimum 6 months’ experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, or similar role in a school setting.
  • Experience supporting children with additional needs in primary or secondary education.
  • Patient, flexible, and reliable with excellent communication skills.
  • Relevant qualifications such as CACHE or Level 2/3 TA are advantageous but not essential.
