Position: Youth Engagement & Wellbeing Mentor (KS3 & KS4)Do you believe every young person deserves the chance to succeed, no matter the challenges they face?A nurturing and forward-thinking alternative provision in Hull is looking for a Youth Engagement & Wellbeing Mentor to join their team this September. In this role, you'll be a positive role model, working with students who need extra support with behaviour, emotions, and social skills-helping them feel valued, understood, and ready to learn.Your Impact on Students:
- Be a consistent and trusted adult who listens, encourages, and inspires
- Work 1:1 and in small groups to help students build confidence and develop self-regulation skills
- Support pupils in overcoming barriers to learning, both in and out of the classroom
- Foster positive relationships between students and staff, creating a calm and respectful environment
- Celebrate progress, no matter how small, and help students recognise their own potential
- Experience working with young people in schools, youth work, mentoring, or similar settings
- A compassionate and patient approach, with a genuine desire to help students thrive
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- A calm, positive attitude when faced with challenges
