Location: London / Knutsford/ Glasgow / Northampton - Any location (Hybrid)Duration: 6 MonthsDay rate: £400 - £450 Umbrella OnlyAs a Senior React Native Developer, you will play a key role in shaping the architecture, performance, and quality of our mobile applications. You'll lead development efforts, promote best practices, and work closely with product managers and designers to deliver user-centric solutions that scale.This role goes beyond coding-you'll be a technical steward, setting standards and fostering a culture of continuous improvement across the mobile development team.What You'll Do:
  • Lead the development of mobile applications using React Native and modern JavaScript (ES6+).
  • Drive technical design and implementation of new features, ensuring code quality and maintainability.
  • Promote modern architectural patterns, such as modular design and state management best practices (e.g., Redux, Zustand, or Context API).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, UX/UI, and backend developers.
  • Review code, mentor team members, and lead by example in delivering scalable and maintainable solutions.
  • Continuously evaluate emerging technologies and contribute to strategic technical decisions.
What We're Looking For:
  • 5-8 years of experience in front-end or mobile development, with a strong focus on React Native.
  • Deep understanding of JavaScript/TypeScript, mobile performance optimization, and component-based architecture.
  • Solid knowledge of mobile development workflows, debugging, testing (Jest, Detox), and CI/CD.
  • Experience integrating RESTful APIs and third-party libraries.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with a track record of mentoring developers and promoting coding standards.
Nice to Have:
  • Experience with native Android/iOS development.
  • Familiarity with Expo, Fastlane, or other app deployment tools.
  • Exposure to agile environments and DevOps practices.
