Job Title: Power BI SpecialistLocation: Hybrid - remote with occasional travel to FI centres. You will collaborate with stakeholders across the FI group to transform data into actionable insights that drive strategic and operational decisions.This is a fantastic opportunity to shape the future of BI at FI and contribute to a data-driven culture.Duties and responsibilitiesBI Solution Design & Development:
  • Design, build, and maintain visually compelling, user-friendly Power BI dashboards and reports.
  • Transform raw data into clean, structured and meaningful datasets.
  • Ensure scalability, performance, and usability of BI solutions.
  • Support the Product Owner – Business Intelligence with ongoing data projects and process improvements.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
  • Work with stakeholders to gather and refine reporting requirements.
  • Translate business questions into analytical solutions.
  • Provide documentation, training, and user support.
  • Promote best practices and foster a data-driven culture.
Data Integration & Governance
  • Connect Power BI to various data sources.
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and security.
  • Support data governance initiatives and documentation standards.
Continuous Improvement
  • Monitor report usage and gather feedback for enhancements.
  • Stay current with Power BI updates and best practices.
  • Identify opportunities for automation and process optimization.
  • Contribute to the BI strategy and roadmap.
Skills and experienceEssential
  • 2+ years of experience in Power BI development and data visualisation.
  • Proficiency in DAX, Power Query, data modelling, and visual storytelling.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Clear, effective communication with stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
  • High attention to detail and consistency in documentation.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with a flexible, collaborative mindset.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently or in a team.
  • Right to live and work in the UK, with ability to travel when required.
Desirable
  • Familiarity with data governance, quality control, and documentation practices.
  • Microsoft Power BI certification
  • An understanding of the education, apprenticeships, or training sectors.
