
Cyber Security Technician

- Monitor and analyse security systems for potential threats and vulnerabilities.
- Implement and maintain security tools and technologies, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and endpoint protection
- Respond to security incidents and perform incident response activities
- Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure the overall security of the organization's infrastructure
- Stay up-to-date on the latest cybersecurity threats and trends
- Document security processes and procedures
- Provide technical support to end-users on security-related issues
- Escalate to manufacturers support when required
- Monitor and maintain the network infrastructure’s cyber security
- Strong understanding of networking concepts and protocols
- Previous proven experience with security tools and technologies (e.g., firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM)
- Previous proven experience with penetration testing and vulnerability assessments
- Knowledge of security frameworks and standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Security+, Network+, CISSP) are a plus
- Good understanding of security best practices
- Salary up to £38,500 depending on experience
