Pay: £16.53-£17.24 per hourJob description:We are looking for an experienced Router Operator who has worked in a manufacturing environment. We will offer good rates of pay; negotiable depending on experience.Package
  • £16.53 – £17.24ph
  • 4 x 12 hour shifts (6pm to 6am) Monday to Thursday.
The RoleYou will work as part of an established manufacturing team and your duties will include:
  • To identify materials and tooling from a job pack
  • Follow design drawings and measure dimensions to ensure compliance with customer requirements
  • Programme machinery and complete first off inspection
  • To ensure that production requirements are met in line with the production schedule.
  • To adhere to BSI standards of quality manufacturing
  • Work towards the utilisation of Lean Manufacturing techniques in line with Company objectives to support the continuous improvement of the Company.
  • To carry out any other relevant tasks as may be required by circumstances or are requested by the Company.
Key experience must include:
  • a good understanding of routers, toolpath and de-burring components
experience of following design drawings * Experience of operating and setting up CNC router machinery
  • Knowledge of programming CNC router software
  • Strong technical and mechanical aptitude
  • Excellent organizational and coordination skills
  • Ability to identify errors, defects, malfunctioning of the machinery and undertake immediate corrective actions
  • ability to work with a variety of plastics (not essential)
This role would suit someone who:
  • Takes pride in the work they do and can demonstrate excellent attention to detail skills
  • Has extensive experience working in a hands on role
  • Has knowledge of manufacturing
  • Works well both in a team and independently
