
Assistant Project Controls Engineer

- Assisting with the tracking and analysis of project costs, budgets, and forecasts
- Supporting the production of financial reports and cost dashboards
- Reviewing data to help identify trends, risks, and opportunities
- Helping prepare summaries, variance reports, and insights for internal stakeholders
- Using tools like Microsoft Excel and Power BI to manage and present project data
- Collaborating with engineers, project managers, and commercial teams
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
- Confident using Microsoft Excel (Power BI or similar tools is a bonus)
- Analytical mindset – someone who enjoys working with data and interpreting numbers
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Able to work well both independently and as part of a team
- Keen to develop and grow within a cost or project controls environment
- On an apprenticeship or graduate path (finance, engineering, or analytics-related)
- Completing or working towards a project controls qualification (e.g. ECITB Level 6)
- Looking for real-world exposure to cost and performance management on active projects
- A supportive team and hands-on training
- Development in core project controls and cost reporting skills
