(golf on a Thursday, Soccer once a month, movie nights whenever we fancy it).A Territory Sales Manager is a sales role focused on developing pipeline and driving revenue growth within a specific geographic region or territory. They are responsible for building client relationships, generating leads, and closing deals, but do not have managerial responsibilities over other employees. This role emphasizes self-direction, strong sales skills, and the ability to manage one's own performance and results.Seniority Level: Mid-Level Management (typically reports to Regional Sales Director)Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans for the area / territory, aligning with company objectives
  • Primary: Define and execute pipeline building activities:
  • Meet or exceed pipeline health goals as defined in SFDC:
  • Define key & strategic accounts in area / territory
  • Schedule strategic lunch & learns program meetings
  • Generate new customer and account meetings
  • Add new opportunities to pipeline in order to meet or exceed quota performance goals
  • Secondary, closing current deals in the pipeline
  • Tertiary, develop and maintain strategic accounts in coordination with Regional Sales Directors and VP Global Sales
  • Achieve sales targets and quotas for assigned territory
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key accounts and prospects in the territory
  • Conduct regular pipeline reviews and forecast accuracy assessments
  • Participate in key customer meetings and close complex deals
  • Analyze territory performance metrics and identify growth opportunities
  • Collaborate with marketing on territory-specific campaigns and lead generation
  • Provide market feedback and competitive intelligence to management
  • Ensure CRM data accuracy and sales process compliance
Typical Requirements:
  • 2+ years experience selling lab automation integrations and/or customized liquid handling platforms
  • 1+ years in life science sales experience with large account management
  • Experience in pre-sales or customer success in quoting, programming, or supporting lab automation including liquid handling platforms and integrated systems
  • Familiarity with automation workflows, lab hardware, or integrated software systems
