Salary: Dependent on experienceA friendly and forward-thinking primary school in the WN3 area of Wigan is looking to appoint a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant from September 2025. This role will involve providing 1:1 support for a child with additional needs, helping them to access learning, build confidence, and thrive both academically and socially.The Role:
- Provide personalised 1:1 support in class and during small group work.
- Adapt learning activities to suit individual needs.
- Encourage independence, resilience, and positive behaviour.
- Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and parents to ensure consistent support.
- Experience working with children with SEND (in school or similar settings).
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
- A patient, nurturing, and adaptable approach.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- A genuine commitment to supporting every child to succeed.
- A welcoming and supportive school community.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
