Hours: Monday-Friday 07.00-16.30 + Company Vehicle/Fuel Card + Overtime @ 1.5x

Interaction Technical have partnered with a well-established and National plant hire firm to support the growth of their team. Our client, who have been established for over 50 years, have reached a stage of growth where they are looking to onboard & train engineers from either a plant, HGV, Automotive or Agricultural background to the team. They offer a comprehensive training scheme alongside relative internal progression routes.The package:
- All overtime over 8 hours per day is paid at 1.5x
- The average overtime availability at the depot is 10-15 hours per week as a mobile fitter (10 hours per week = £10,587 additional per annum / 15 hours per week = £15,880 per annum)
- Company Vehicle, Fuel Card + Door to Door Paid (Unless workshop based for the day)
- A pay review after probation and in April 2026 with scope to increase this salary dependant on your knowledge and performance
- 22 days Annual Leave + Public Holidays / Increasing by 1 day for every year of service (25 overall)
- Salary Sacrifice Scheme for an addition 5 days annual leave per annum
- Full training & development with a focus on internal progression, route is as follows:
- Workshop/Mobile Engineer

Regional Manager
- All of the above promotions accompany substantial increases in salary and benefits.
- Biannual bonus scheme – based on company performance (Average £500-£1200 per annum)
- Bridgewater Workload Cover (Split between 3 engineers 1 in two months) – very rare to be called out but if you are its 1.5x.
- Additional £100 per rota of Workout cover (minimum of £400 per annum)
- Full internal progression routes within engineering, management and diagnostics
- Round the clock engineer assistance from the senior engineers and management
- Previous experience working in the Plant, Automotive, HGV or Agricultural industry (essential)
- Previous experience working with hydraulics, alongside mechanical and electrical capabilities (essential)
- Experience working on engines would be advantageous
- Electrical and/or Mechanical fault finding, repair & service experience
- A desire to lead, manage and grow a team of your own
- Relevant qualifications NVQ or City and Guilds in mechanical/electrical engineering (advantageous)
- Full UK Drivers License
- Travel to client sites to perform maintenance and repair of plant machinery and equipment.
- Diagnose complex technical issues and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their specific requirements and provide expert recommendations.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance.
- Offer training and support to clients' staff on machinery operation and maintenance best practices.
- Keep detailed records of service activities, parts used, and work completed for accurate reporting.
- Communicate effectively with the in-house engineering team to provide feedback and improve product performance.
