An exciting temporary-to-permanent opportunity awaits you as a Grounds Maintenance Team Leader!Join our dedicated team where you'll oversee the nurturing of beautiful grounds in an undisclosed location. Reporting to the Contracts Manager and Head of Grounds, your role will be pivotal in ensuring the satisfaction, safety, and enjoyment of our visitors and staff.Responsibilities:
  • Lead a small team to meet client requirements and specifications, ensuring safety and quality standards are upheld.
  • Supervise, motivate, and foster teamwork within the crew to cultivate productive relationships.
  • Maintain and oversee the upkeep of equipment and machinery, ensuring operational efficiency.
  • Act as a liaison with clients, handling inquiries and issues promptly and professionally.
Skills and Experiences:
  • Deep passion for environmental stewardship and attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
  • Proficiency in spraying (PA1 and PA6 certificates preferred).
  • While a Level 2 Horticulture or Sports Turf Maintenance qualification is desirable, passion and commitment weigh just as heavily.
  • Prior experience in corporate or local authority grounds maintenance is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with various horticultural equipment, including petrol two-stroke grass/hedge cutting equipment.
  • Flexibility to work in all weather conditions and possess a full, clean UK driving license.
