- Championing high standards of environmental performance within multidisciplinary engineering projects, influencing project development, and delivering optimal environmental outcomes
- Coordinating the delivery of environmental work being undertaken by multi-disciplinary teams across a range of projects
- Competently undertake your own work to an excellent standard, and review the work of others
- Proactively managing selected projects or components of projects, taking responsibility for resource allocation, managing subcontractors, quality assurance and client feedback and ensuring effective communication of any changes/modifications
- Contribute to tender proposal/ bids - working as part of a project winning team
- Providing environmental advice and support to clients, project managers and colleagues
- Engaging with consultees and stakeholders
- Working closely with technical specialists
- Developing outstanding reports - an ability to summarise and explain outcomes to non-technical audiences will be critical for this
- Managing projects, overseeing our performance on technical, quality, commercial, and health and safety
- A good working knowledge of EIA practices and procedures and a solid understanding of environmental and sustainability principles
- Experienced across a range of project types, ideally within the energy, residential/mixed use/ regeneration sector, as well as in other major infrastructure projects including rail/ highways
- Practical working knowledge of the UK planning system and consenting process
- Strong report writing, verbal and presentation skills with proven experience in reviewing the work of others to ensure quality
- Experience in multi-disciplinary co-ordination of projects, with good project management and technical skills, demonstrated professionalism in the creation and delivery of reports and presentations
- Experience in consulting and negotiating with planning authorities, regulators, and stakeholders
- Desired: Experience in the delivery of SEA and/ or Integrated Impact Assessment (IIA) projects, Knowledge and application experience of sustainability, waste or carbon assessments
