Senior .Net DeveloperOur client, a leading global supplier for IT services, requires an experienced .Net Senior Developer to be based at their client’s office in Farnborough, UK.This is a hybrid role – you can work remotely in the UK and attend the Farnborough office 2 days per week .This is a 6+ month temporary contract to start asapDay rate: Competitive Market rateThe ideal candidate will have strong experience as a .NET Developer, with Rest API and microservice architecture skills.Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver new functionality and changes to established financial applications, which comply with project requirements
  • Work as part of a team of Developers on project work and initiatives, sharing ideas, completing code reviews and willing to help where required
  • Support applications in the production environment, assisting with troubleshooting, resolution of issues and root cause analysis
  • Ability to work from written specifications or JIRA stories and on own initiative to refine solutions in a structured environment
  • Ability to work with Analysts to help refine requirements, define changes and provide technical expertise, and with Testers to assist in the functional testing of changes
  • Write and maintain documentation and knowledge base within JIRA and Confluence
  • Problem solving, with the ability to take the initiative and self-manage.
Key RequirementsEssential:
  • L3 – 8+ years .NET/Angular
  • Experience of RESTful API development within microservice architecture
  • Proficient in Angular framework to build and support frontend web frontends
  • Strong background in C#, .Net Core, with a proven understanding of event-driven architecture
  • Demonstrable experience in IT with an in-depth track record in design and development
  • Proven ability to self-lead and work in a dynamic Agile team environment
  • Proven ability to engage with a variety of IT teams and suppliers to achieve timely and successful outcomes.
  • Proven ability to embrace and adapt to change.
  • Exposure to the Financial Services industry and mission-critical systems

Desirable:
  • Communicate with business and IT at many levels, having excellent verbal and non-verbal skills
  • Able to determine business requirements directly from business team members and be able to communicate in a non-technical manner when required
  • Work closely with other Developers, Systems Analysts and the business to ensure quick and efficient delivery of changes to the products
  • Supporting DevOps providers undertaking project and support activities
  • Ability to ensure all development work is delivered on time and to the quality expected to ensure stable operations
  • Ensure adherence to customer Group requirements, including compliance with relevant Agile Working Model standards and processes, as well as controls and Change Management appropriate to a Financial Services environment.
