CAD TechnicianOur client are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CAD Technician to join their dynamic team. As a CAD Technician, you will play a crucial role in creating and modifying 3D models and 2D drawings for various projects in manufacturing and construction. Your expertise in Autodesk Inventor and ability to interpret architectural designs will be essential in producing high-quality, accurate technical drawings and models.Key Responsibilities
  • Create detailed 3D models and 2D drawings using Autodesk Inventor for manufacturing and construction projects
  • Interpret and work from architectural design drawings and written briefs to produce precise design and manufacturing drawings for specific and bespoke products
  • Collaborate with engineers, architects, and project managers to understand project requirements and specifications
  • Ensure all drawings and models comply with industry standards, company guidelines, and client specifications
  • Modify existing drawings and models as needed, maintaining accuracy and consistency throughout the design process
  • Perform quality checks on drawings and models to identify and correct any errors or inconsistencies
  • Maintain an organised digital library of drawings, models, and related documentation
  • Assist in the preparation of technical reports and presentations as required
  • Stay updated with the latest CAD software developments and industry best practices
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for process improvements and efficiency enhancements
Required Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a CAD Technician or similar role
  • Excellent proficiency in 3D CAD modeling using Autodesk Inventor
  • Strong ability to read and interpret construction and manufacturing drawings
  • Demonstrated skill in working from architectural design drawings and written briefs to produce detailed design and manufacturing drawings for specific and bespoke products
  • Solid understanding of manufacturing and/or construction processes
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy in work
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in manufacturing and/or construction industries
  • Familiarity with other CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Revit
  • Knowledge of Building Information Modeling (BIM) concepts
