
Principal or Associate Transport Planner

Their ideal candidate will be educated to degree level or above (Transport Planning, Civil Engineering, Geography etc.) with significant experience in development led Transport Planning. They should have experience of delivering and project managing across a range of scales (depending on experience and role) with both public and private sector clients with only minimal supervision required. As a confident communicator verbally and in writing, they will be required to present and communicate their ideas clearly and concisely both internally and also to a wide range of external audiences. Chartership with a relevant professional body would be advantageous but not essential.They will also have:·Considerable experience in development focused transport planning
·Significant experience in the production of Transport Assessments, Transport Statements and Travel Plans
·Significant experience of undertaking access feasibility studies and design
·Knowledge and experience of applying design guidance such as LTN 1/20, DMRB, Manual for Streets
·An excellent understanding of the planning process in England
·Excellent communication skills and interface with clients
·Ability to mentor manage and train junior staff
·Ability to contribute / lead on bids and financial proposals
·Excellent Project Management skills
