- Recruit, train, and supervise peer mentors.
- Manage a diverse caseload with varying complexities and risk levels.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments, develop collaborative action plans, and maintain accurate records.
- Deliver 1:1 and group-work interventions using motivational techniques.
- Work closely with probation staff, partner agencies, and subcontractors to ensure coordinated delivery of services.
- Travel throughout the county to meet service users in custody, upon release, and at mandated probation locations.
- Work remotely from home while ensuring consistent engagement and delivery.
- Support the achievement of targets set by Forward Trust and local commissioners.
- Attend training sessions at head office as required.
- Some flexibility will be needed for evening hours and other operational requirements with prior notice.
- Knowledge of issues facing service users in the criminal justice sector.
- Previous experience providing a peer support service to this or a similar client group.
- Demonstrable experience managing high caseloads, including risk assessments, SMART action plans, and case records.
- Experience delivering 1:1 and group interventions using motivational techniques.
- Ability to set and maintain professional boundaries.
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise workload and meet targets.
- Understanding of, and commitment to, equal opportunity, GDPR, and client confidentiality.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact sensitively and professionally with a wide range of stakeholders.
