You'll be able to make a difference for our communities doing work that really matters.What's the role?Assistive Technology is essential in the future provision of health and social care. This 12-month modern apprenticeship will help you understand the role of the Assistive Technology Team and ways in which Assistive Technology it can improve the lives of those we provide a service to. We provide knowledge on the range of technology available and how we can assess the person to meet their outcomes through the use of technology such as falls detectors and smart speakers. At North Lanarkshire Council we have four key services that play an important role in delivering for our communities, these are Education and Families, Enterprise and Communities, Adult Health and Social Care and our Chief Executives Office Corporate functions.As part of this apprenticeship, you'll undertake a SCQF Level 6 in Social Services and Healthcare. You'll also gain valuable work experience in assessing the needs of individuals both in our assistive technology flat and in their home environment. The role will include promoting the use of technology and communicating with the most vulnerable people in our local communities. In doing so you would be looking to increase independence and quality of life for those you encounter. This Apprenticeship would appeal to you if you're interested in working in and pursuing a career in Health and Social care but have a particular interest in technology.Placements are in the following areas:Health & Social Care Partnership- Dalziel Building, MotherwellWhat do I need?You don't need to have any previous experience although having National 5 English is desirable. We look for Apprentices who can help us deliver our exciting for North Lanarkshire.
