Job Category: Bulk/ Cargo OperationsJob Description:About The RoleDP World looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Transport Coordinator to play a key role in our UK Transport Department (Freight Forwarding). In this operational role, you'll work closely with teams across the business to ensure transport requirements are met efficiently and cost-effectively. You'll support the development of the department, liaise with suppliers, and help deliver seamless logistics solutions that meet both customer expectations and commercial goals.NOTE: This role is based in our Manchester office and is an onsite Monday - Friday position.How will you contribute:Coordinate and book transport with haulage partners in line with customer requirements and service expectations.Perform daily checks to ensure all transport operations are running smoothly and efficiently.Monitor delivery performance and proactively address any delays or service issues.Communicate delivery updates to customers, providing timely information and managing expectations.Liaise with haulage partners to resolve operational issues, ensuring effective and timely solutions are implemented.Prepare and distribute daily operational reports for internal and external stakeholders.Maintain accurate and up-to-date transport records within the in-house system.What you will bring:GCSEs or equivalent qualifications.Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).Knowledge of logistics operations and transport planning (desirable).Good geographical awareness of the UK road network.Fluent in English (spoken and written); additional languages are an advantage.You take pride in getting things right the first time. You're meticulous, organised, and nothing escapes your notice.Confident communicator-clear, articulate, and tactful. Whether speaking to individuals or groups, you adapt your style to suit the audience and can convey complex information with ease.You work well independently but thrive in a team environment.
