Job Description :OverviewWe are seeking an experienced EHV Design Engineer to join a client specialising in battery energy storage systems (BESS) and grid connection projects. This role will involve producing detailed electrical designs for extra high voltage (EHV) infrastructure, ensuring compliance with relevant standards, regulations, and project requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and produce detailed EHV designs for grid connection and BESS projects.Prepare single-line diagrams, schematics, protection settings, and layout drawings.Carry out design calculations and ensure compliance with DNO/NG standards.Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to deliver designs on time and within budget.Provide technical support during construction, installation, and commissioning phases.Review and approve design documentation, ensuring accuracy and quality.Keep up to date with industry regulations, standards, and best practice.RequirementsRequirementsProven experience in EHV design (up to 132kV) for grid or renewable energy projects.Strong knowledge of BESS, grid connections, and associated infrastructure.Proficiency in relevant design software and CAD tools.Understanding of DNO/NG specifications and approval processes.Degree or HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).Excellent problem-solving, organisational, and communication skills.
