
Finance Assistant - Temp to Perm

- Accounts Receivable: Allocating receipts, uploading bank statements, chasing remittances, responding to customer queries, raising customer invoices and managing invoice adjustments.
- Clinician Payments: Handling daily and twice weekly payment runs, managing ledgers, and reconciling outgoing payments.
- Accounts Payable: Processing supplier invoices and staff expenses, managing internal spends, and ensuring accurate coding and VAT treatment.
- Month-End Support: Completing bank reconciliations, supporting month end close, and P&L reviews.
- Finance Admin: Maintaining process documentation, handling post and filing, and assisting with ad hoc finance projects.
- Process Improvement: Working with the team to streamline workflows and adopt new tools and systems as we grow.
- Around 1 year of experience in a broad finance or accounting role is desirable, though less will be considered
- Interest in working towards a recognised accounting qualification (e.g. CIMA, ACCA, AAT)
- Good understanding of basic finance principles, including double entry, reconciliations, and invoicing
- Comfortable working across a variety of finance tasks, with strong attention to detail and a proactive, can-do attitude
- Good working knowledge of Excel and Google Sheets - able to use formulas and work confidently with large datasets
- Introductory Interview with the Hiring Manager: This is a conversation with the hiring manager. This stage also includes elements of a first-round interview to explore your experience in more depth.
- Challenge Interview: In this practical stage, you’ll be given a scenario or problem to solve that reflects real aspects of the role. It’s designed to showcase how you apply your skills in context. You’ll complete this practical challenge, followed by a short discussion about your approach and insights with a small group of stakeholders.
