- Conduct comprehensive Legionella risk assessments in line with ACoP L8, HSG274 and relevant British Standards.
- Produce clear, accurate and detailed written reports for clients, with recommendations for remedial actions.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of clients’ water systems and develop tailored control schemes.
- Carry out routine water monitoring and sampling (temperature checks, dip slides, pH, conductivity, etc.)
- Perform chlorination and disinfection of water systems, tanks, and pipework in accordance with BS 8558.
- Implement minor plumbing remedials (dead leg removals, TMV servicing, tank inspections and cleanings).
- Conduct closed system analysis and dosing as required.
- Liaise with clients, providing professional advice and updates on compliance and performance.
- Maintain service records and logbooks in accordance with contract requirements and legislation.
- Identify opportunities to improve water system efficiency and safety for the client.
- City & Guilds or equivalent qualification in Water Treatment, Plumbing, Mechanical Engineering, or Environmental
- Science.
- Legionella Risk Assessment qualification (e.g., City & Guilds accredited or similar).
- Full UK driving licence.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in water treatment and water hygiene services.
- Proven experience conducting Legionella Risk Assessments in accordance with ACOP L8 and HSG274.
- Experience carrying out routine monitoring, cleaning, disinfections, and sampling of domestic hot and cold water
- systems.
- Comfortable working in a range of environments, including healthcare, education, commercial, and industrial sites.
- Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and guidance, including Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations, ACOP L8,
- HSG274, and BS 8558.
- Understanding of closed system treatment (e.g., heating/cooling circuits) and basic BMS awareness.
