A leading machinery distributor is seeking a proactive and personable Parts Advisor to join their Carlisle-based team.This is a key role within the Parts Department, supporting day-to-day operations and delivering exceptional service to a wide range of customers—from long-standing clients to new business prospects. You’ll be instrumental in identifying and fulfilling parts requirements across a full range of machinery, ensuring repairs, servicing, and maintenance are carried out efficiently.What You’ll Be Doing:
- Responding to customer enquiries via phone, email, and face-to-face
- Identifying and sourcing parts accurately and efficiently
- Managing customer collections and dispatches
- Proactively selling and upselling parts to meet customer needs
- Participating in telemarketing campaigns
- Collaborating with Service and Sales teams to supply parts
- Handling deliveries, stock management, and inventory tasks
- Building strong relationships with customers
- Completing invoicing and administrative duties
- Experience in plant/agricultural machinery, automotive, or similar industries
- Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise in a busy environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Customer-focused mindset with a knack for building rapport
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Attention to detail and a proactive approach to sales
