In this position you will report into the Senior Manager of UK Transfer Agency. The overall objective of this role is to perform oversight of Transfer Agency functions and be proficient in retail and institutional regulation that is applicable to TA services within UK.The role requires strong leadership qualities, alongside an ability to manage and develop multiple individuals and teams to accomplish established goals within the Transfer Agency department. Client focus is a fundamental part of this role, with consistent delivery of high-quality client experience being a priority. As a leader, incorporating Apex’s core values into our day to day is integral to the success of the Transfer Agency department.Job Specification:· Day to day management of the UK Retail and Institutional Transfer Agency teams adhere to best practices and regulatory requirements· Ensuring procedures and policies are kept up to date and reviewed on a periodic including in line with regulations both locally and globally on a periodic basis· Working with both new and existing clients to understand their requirements and changes etc.· Supporting the completing of RFPs for TA· Provide technical expertise in all key investor services functions, including Dealing AML / KYC, investor onboarding/registration and client / investor reporting/CASS· Supporting the implementation of legislative and regulatory requirements applicable to Transfer Agency· Engaging and building effective relationship/partnerships with multiple clients· To ensure SLA (Service Level Agreements), KPI’s (Key Performance Indicators) and KRI’s (Key Risk Indicators) are agreed, followed and met by the individuals, teams and vendors· Managing, escalating and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards· Support the managing of our vendors both internally and internally· Applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behaviour, conduct and business practices· Identify training needs within your teams and hold regular training sessions with the department, ensuring full adherence to mandatory training for all teams under your remit (including India)· Create an encourage a positive working environment, that attracts & retains industry leading talent, ensuring that the department is resourced appropriately (succession planning is key)· Team collaboration across multiple jurisdictions, particularly our global service center team, to ensure that client deliverables are meet, in line with the outsourcing governance framework.· Acting as escalation point for both the TA teams and our clients.· Support the business when decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for Apex’s reputation (Completion of RCSA’s - Risk Control Self-Assessment)· Ensure effective & timely resolutions of any errors identified and report in line with UK and group procedures.· Support the review and assessment of consultation papers issued by FCA specifically related to Transfer Agency Retail and InstitutionalApplicants should possess (as a minimum):· Five plus years of proven experience managing an investor Services/Transfer Agency team· Excellent understanding of the Retail and Institutional Transfer Agency function· A strong understanding of the UK regulatory requirements· Exceptional communication (verbal and written) and problem-solving skills· Strong leadership skills with demonstrated ability to drive change within teams· Excellent planning, organisational and entrepreneurial skills· Knowledge of accounting, finance and investment concepts· Strong risk & control focus· Must be able to work with all levels within the organisation· The ability to adapt to changing priorities and varied decision-making scenarios· An ability and desire to work to tight deadlines· Good interpersonal skills to develop working relationships with colleagues and clients· Detailed knowledge of Transfer Agency systems· Flexibility and adaptabilityDisclaimer: Unsolicited CVs sent to Apex (Talent Acquisition Team or Hiring Managers) by recruitment agencies will not be accepted for this position.
