Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-timeAre you a patient, caring, and enthusiastic individual looking to make a positive impact on children’s learning and development?GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Primary Teaching Assistant to join schools in the Maltby (S66) area immediately. As a Primary TA, this role provides the opportunity to support pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development, while contributing to a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment.Responsibilities as a Primary Teaching Assistant:
  • Assist the teacher in delivering lessons and classroom activities.
  • Provide one-to-one or small group support to pupils as required.
  • Promote positive behaviour and help maintain a well-organised learning environment.
  • Support pupils’ social and emotional development, encouraging confidence and independence.
  • Assist in preparing classroom materials and resources.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff, SENCOs, and parents to support pupil progress.
Requirements for Primary Teaching Assistant:
  • Previous experience supporting children in a classroom setting is desirable.
  • Patience, empathy, and flexibility to meet the needs of individual learners.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
  • A CV covering the last 10 years of employment history, with explanations for any gaps.
